- Description
- [From introduction] What role are the African languages destined to play in a post-apartheid South Africa? Before trying to answer this crucial question, I make bold to say that I believe that there will be a new democratic non-racial post- apartheid South Africa, despite the unsettling comment by Manzo and McGowan (1990:20) that "there is no guarantee that the outcome of the current negotiations will be a 'post-apartheid South Africa"'.
