- Description
- The Congo basin forest is experiencing increasing rate of deforestation, and is prone to inconsistent food supply and sporadic food shortages with corresponding high levels of malnutrition. Maintenance or planting of fruit trees can help mitigate deforestation while supplying fruits for home consumption. However, data on rates of fruit consumption are lacking for many developing countries, including Cameroon.
