  • Description: Sikusinja was a rich man who was killed by his brother Gwenembe. A bird saw him do it and flew to the village to tell everyone what had happened. Through his singing the people understood what had happened. Gwenembe was a poor man who coveted his brothers belongings, and that is why he killed him. The bird when singing said, "Don't wonder, I saw Gwenembe killing Sikusinja and all the things he took." Eventually Gwenembe was taken to Kachere for Judgment and he was put to death. It is a story with a moral. 'Be sure your sins will find you out!' The bird witness is a constant African Image. "Sikusinja was a rich man. He was killed by his brother Gwenembe. The bird saw himdo it." The accompaniment of a guitar in this kind od story is unsual and a recent innovation only. Nthano story with guitar.

Cannons are firing for King Sebuza, when coming from overseas. You (Sebuza) know how to dance when you come from the palace. We say, Agree! The indunas of Swaziland disagree with these laws." This chant refers to Subuza's visit to England for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and was composed to greet him on his return. Ukuhlehla walking and running song.

The Malipenga were all made out of gourds with mirlton membranes over the small end. The sound quality of the bass singers was good owing to their use of the gourds of adequate size and shape.   • Description: The Chief Tengani tells the story of the judgement of Solomon with a true story of his own of 1936, the year he was made chief. There was once a lorry which carried cotton. Now a certain man jumped onto the lorry without the knowledge of the driver. On going through the river the lorry stopped and the man fell off. The lorry backed and the man was run over and killed. But still the driver did not know he was there and it was only afterwards that the people found the body and brought it to the chief Tengani. Thay all say the driver was not to blame as he did not know the man was on his lorry or gave him permission. The case came before the District Commissioner who agreed with the chief. The people did not agree at the time but now they know the chief was right. "A Solomon come to judgement." Story (Ntana).
