The presence of tetracycline resistance genes in Acinetobacter species justifies the observed phenotypic resistance to oxytetracycline and intermediate resistance to minocycline. High phenotypic resistance and the presence of some resistance genes in Staphylococcus species is a possible threat to public health and suggests animals to be important reservoirs of antibiotic resistance determinants in the environment. Indiscriminate use of antibiotics induces this kind of antibiotic resistance and should be discouraged. Personal hygiene is encouraged as it reduces the load of Acinetobacter species contacted from the environment that may be difficult to control. Commensal Stenotrophomonas maltophilia are as important as their clinical counterparts due to their roles in opportunistic infection, antibiotic resistance and their associated genes, especially sul gene. Personal hygiene is hereby advocated especially when in contact with soil, plants and plants’ rhizospheric soil]]> Wed 12 May 2021 19:45:00 SAST ]]> The impact of cultural attrition on youth behaviour :the case of ulwaluko and Intonjane cultural practices in Mthatha and Mount Frere, Eastern Cape, South Africa Wed 12 May 2021 18:58:40 SAST ]]> Effect of organisational policies on school management teams' job performance at Maluti District, Eastern Cape , South Africa Wed 12 May 2021 18:38:11 SAST ]]> External financial flows, domestic savings and economic growth in the Southern African development community (SADC)(1980-2013) Wed 12 May 2021 17:16:49 SAST ]]> The implementation of inclusion policy for learners with special education needs in primary schools in Fort beafort district :Towards a rights based approach to education Wed 12 May 2021 16:52:31 SAST ]]> A Case study of students' first additional language reading and response in the faculty of education at the University of Fort Hare: Eastern Cape Wed 12 May 2021 16:47:01 SAST ]]> Evaluating Livestock Development Programmes through the Production Risk Interface: Case of the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo (KyD) Scheme in South Africa Wed 12 May 2021 14:39:12 SAST ]]> Examining the nature and extent to which learners with special educational needs are included in regular schools: the case of four primary schools in Cape Town, South Africa Thu 13 May 2021 12:33:46 SAST ]]> Intangible heritage: the production of post-apartheid memorial complexes Thu 13 May 2021 08:50:31 SAST ]]> An assessment of the role of guidance and counselling in promoting learner discipline in secondary schools in the Oshikoto region of Namibia:a case study of learners with discipline problems Thu 13 May 2021 07:35:47 SAST ]]> Assessment of the implementation of the National Certificate (Vocational) plant production modules Thu 13 May 2021 07:14:30 SAST ]]> The implementation of the inclusive education policy in sport: a case study of four secondary schools in Masvingo District, Zimbabwe Thu 13 May 2021 06:48:10 SAST ]]> Access to information by high school learners in selected schools in the Fort Beaufort Education District, Eastern Cape Province Thu 13 May 2021 06:45:26 SAST ]]> Teachers' perceptions on the effects of frequent change in curriculum on effective teaching in junior secondary schools at Libode Education District, Eastern Cape Thu 13 May 2021 05:46:39 SAST ]]> An assessment of the social ecological system of Mabira forest and environs: implications for vulnerability to climate variability Thu 13 May 2021 01:42:53 SAST ]]> Fathers' involvement in the social development of children under six years: a social capital perspective and implications for early childhood development in the East London Education District Thu 13 May 2021 01:21:03 SAST ]]> A Mobile social networking framework to create a virtual community of practice in aid of rural small , medium and macro-sized enterprise support and development Thu 13 May 2021 00:52:54 SAST ]]> Genetically modified (GM) maize cultivation by smallholders in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa: Effects on target and non-target organisms and adoption challenges Thu 13 May 2021 00:48:02 SAST ]]> Stakeholders' participation in curriculum development in four secondary schools in Fort Beaufort education district, Eastern cape province: towards a participatory curriculum model Thu 13 May 2021 00:39:35 SAST ]]>
